Mylène Roy is Regional Environmental Advisor at the Department of Fisheries and Oceans of Canada, after having occupied a similar position at Public Service and Procurement Canada.  Prior to that, she held engineering and coordinating positions at the Government of New Brunswick, where she worked with municipalities in their infrastructure projects.  Mylène was the Process Specialist during the start-up phase of the Turtle Creek Water Treatment Plant in Moncton (NB).  She also has experience in industrial waste water treatment from her work at Fraser Papers in Edmundston (NB). 

Mylène has a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Ottawa; and a Master of Environmental Studies from the Université de Moncton, where her research allowed her to work in a water treatment plant in Atlanta, Georgia (USA).  She also did water treatment research internships in universities in Canada and in France; and she has language tutoring experiences in China.  A registered Professional Engineer in the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick, Mylène has university teaching experiences in water treatment at the Université de Moncton.

Mylène is an avid traveler and loves outdoor activities.  She has done hiking in Canada; in the Alps and the Pyrenees in Europe; and she has done the Everest Base Camp Trek in Nepal.  She lives with her family in Dieppe (NB).
